The flicker does not happen within Premiere until after I render the timeline.
I tried exporting my timeline to see if the flicker remained after export, and to my surprise, the flicker was in every single clip that had masked effects, even those that didn't flicker in Premiere. This happens randomly and seemingly has no predictability. For example, if I apply a Luma Curve and mask it so that it applies a vignette, only the "vignetted" area will flicker, while the unmasked area in the center of frame is fine. The "flicker" happens (for me) only when using an effect WITH A MASK, resulting in the masked-out area flickering.

Using a Macbook Pro 15" Retina, El Capitan, with AMD card. And file with your system data & information, as the more info the engineers have, the more possible it will be to run this down. Search for others with the same issue, and pile onto any reports you find.

In relative terms, very small, sample base too small to be able to actually see the problem.īest thing you can do for yourself and this issue is post over on the UserVoice system, which is monitored exactly for this kind of thing by the engineers. Something like this can affect a few hundred systems and be probably under a thousandth of a per cent. I don't know the actual numbers of total PrPro users, but it's huge. Which is as helpful as saying breath deeply. If you've read this, you already know that this is rather a rare issue among the total user base, and the issue seems to be based on a conflict of some sort on your system.
